Carlos Rey Awards Compass of the Conscience to the First Lady of the Dominican Republic |
SANTO DOMINGO, DOMINICAN REPUBLIC(ANS) -- On Thursday, November 24, Dr. Carlos Rey Stewart took part in the Act of Reflection and Prayer for the Eradication of Violence against Women held by the First Lady of the Dominican Republic, Dr. Margarita Cedeño de Fernández, in the Casa San Pablo auditorium of Santo Domingo.
At the end of his speech, Carlos Rey, as the voice of A MESSAGE TO THE CONSCIENCE, awarded the Compass of the Conscience to the First Lady, a laser-engraved marble plaque, in recognition of her National Strategy Good for you! to promote moral, ethical, and spiritual values in her society.
As his final words upon giving the plaque to the First Lady, Dr. Carlos Rey read the following proverb he coined especially for the occasion, engraved at the bottom of the plaque:
Those who recognize that God gave them a conscience as their moral compass
to navigate through this world with inner peace,
and steer their lives by that divine guidance system,
will be able to set their course with certainty of their final destination.
