COLORADO SPRIG, CO (ANS) -- Dr. James Dobson, Founder of Focus on the Family, took a fall while horseback riding over the weekend.
At the end of an incredibly busy spring and summer, Dr. and Mrs. Dobson were spending a few days away from the office.

While enjoying fellowship with friends in Montana, Dr. Dobson fell from his horse, suffering a fractured clavicle, a fractured scapula and several broken ribs.
Although he fractured and broke some bones, he is hospitalized in stable condition and expected to make a full recovery. He is reported to be in good spirits.
An alert posted on the Family Talk website stated that "he suffered a fractured clavicle, a fractured scapula and several broken ribs. He is in good spirits." The family asked for prayer on his behalf.
A recent update from Dr. Dobson's daughter Danae says: “Thank you for your caring messages for my dad, with assurance of your prayers.
“I am very pleased to report to you that his condition is stable and his spirits are good at this early stage in his recovery (he even ate a hamburger yesterday, just twenty-four hours after his accident).
“Hospital tests revealed there is no internal bleeding or other complications, for which we are very grateful!
“My dad will remain in the hospital a couple more days before returning home. He will no doubt be in a lot of discomfort in the coming weeks, and would covet your continued prayers as he moves toward a full recovery.
“On behalf of my dad and our entire family, thank you so much for your concern and for your prayers!”
