The current board members who are continuing on for another year of service are Mark Hopkins (Vice Chair), Gail Bryan, Jed Burnham, Linda Chowdry Stuart Lark, Doris Meyer, Brian Stafford, and Gail Wozniak. Rebekah Burch Basinger: MOPS Board Chair
Rebekah Basinger brings strong leadership to MOPS International. Her board service and good faith governance are longtime passions, beginning with her doctoral dissertation that looked at the policy actions of small college boards and continuing today in her work with theological school boards. In her consulting work, Basinger's niche is fundraising, strategic planning, and presidential selection and evaluation. She has authored numerous articles on fundraising and various aspects of seminary governance.
"I'm here because I believe in the mission of MOPS International, and I enjoy the behind the scenes work that helps make a ministry organization the best it can be. What I love most about MOPS is hearing the stories of women who've been transformed by faith as a result of participation in a MOPS group. Within the burgeoning arena of mothering resources, MOPS' niche is guiding young moms toward faith-filled parenting," Basinger discussing why she accepted the role of MOPS Board Chair. She also declares she wants to help grow healthy churches that are bursting at the seams with young families by introducing as many pastors as possible to the church growth potential that comes with a MOPS group.
